Energy Humanities

Launched in 2020, Energy Humanities is an online hub for new ideas about energy, politics, and culture. The site features commentary on current events, book notices, original essays, reportage, interviews, and more from leading thinkers, researchers, and artists in the energy humanities and related fields.

Our core aim with Energy Humanities is to help a broad readership see the social and political dimensions of energy and climate issues. We also make every effort to publish a diverse array of established and emerging voices to expand these critical conversations.

Contributions are by invitation only. Follow us @petrocultures on Twitter or sign up for the Energy Humanities newsletter to get the latest insight and analysis.

Energy Humanities is edited by Petrocultures member Caleb Wellum.

Imre Szeman and Mark Simpson are Editorial Advisors.
